About There Goes the Neighborhood: San Carlos was is an inland bedroom community. Ocean Beach was the bohemian jewel of San Diego. What tied these two communities together was not just beautiful weather. A war between gangs of outlaw bikers, the rampant abuse of drugs, serial killers, and suicide turned what might have been an idyllic existence into a dreadful one. There Goes the Neighborhood is an account of two communities forever changed.
